 means: Portal remains closed as no vacancy available or eligible candidates are available from 1st Phase.

* means: Although no vacancy available right now, but as per Gazette notification No. 07-Edn (U)/1U-89/13 dated 2nd January, 2014, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of west Bengal, in case of non availability of ST candidates, SC candidate can fill those seats and vice versa, so a SC candidate may apply for those seats however if eligible ST candidates are available then ST candidates will be preferred as those seats are originally ST seats.

** means: Although no vacancy available right now, but as per Gazette notification No. 07-Edn (U)/1U-89/13 dated 2nd January, 2014, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of west Bengal, in case of non availability of OBC A candidates, OBC B candidate can fill those seats and vice versa, so a OBC B candidate may apply for those seats however if eligible OBC A candidates are available then OBC A candidates will be preferred as those seats are originally OBC A seats.
